Ullr the Hunter
Ullr is the god of hunting, archery, and winter sports. He represents the skill, precision, and discipline required for excellence in martial and hunting pursuits. Though often overshadowed by Thor and other major gods, Ullr’s role as oath-keeper and protector of duels makes him important to those who value honor and skilled contest.
Sacred Story
Ullr is the stepson of Thor, being the son of Sif and a previous union. He is known for his incredible hunting prowess and his mastery of skiing and snowcraft. He is often invoked by hunters before the hunt, by warriors preparing for single combat, and by those taking oaths of particular importance.

In ADF practice, Ullr is honored as a god of skill, discipline, and fair contest. He is invoked before hunts, sporting competitions, and duels to ensure fairness and skilled performance. Offerings include practice and refinement of skills, fair hunting and harvest, and respect for the prey taken and the natural world. Ullr is also called upon when oaths of significance are being sworn.
