Ran is the powerful goddess of the sea. This ritual honors her awesome power and seeks safe passage through troubled waters.
Preparation
Gather: Candle, water, wine, salt
The Ritual
1-4. Opening & Kindreds (2 minutes)
“I kindle this flame for Ran, goddess of the sea’s depths. Ancestors, spirits, Shining Ones—I honor Ran!”
5. Invocation (1 minute)
“Ran, Mistress of Depths! I honor your awesome power. Grant safe passage through troubled waters!”
6. Offering (1 minute)
Sprinkle salt and pour wine:
“I offer you salt and wine. Accept this gift with respect.”
7. Personal Prayer (2 minutes)
Ask Ran for: respect for water, safe passage, understanding of ocean’s power.
8. Closing (1 minute)
“Ran, I thank you. I respect the waters. So be it!”
