Bragi the Poet
Bragi is the god of poetry, music, and eloquent speech. As the patron of skalds and all who work with words, he embodies the power of language to preserve memory, inspire courage, and move the heart. His wife is Iðunn, goddess of eternal youth.
Sacred Story
Bragi is the son of Oðinn and a Jotunn woman, combining divine wisdom with primal power. He is known for his golden harp and his extraordinary eloquence—his very words have the power to persuade and inspire. In Valhalla, it is said that Bragi welcomes the greatest warriors who have fallen in battle, entertaining them with tales and songs.
