Forseti the Just
Forseti is the god of justice, reconciliation, and the power of eloquent speech to bring peace. As the son of Baldr and Nanna, he carries both his father’s light and his mother’s compassion, using these gifts to mediate disputes and bring resolution to conflicts.
Sacred Story
Forseti has his own hall called Glitnir (the glittering hall) where he settles disputes. No quarrel can remain unresolved in his presence; his wisdom and eloquence always bring agreement and understanding to those who come before him. His role is not to punish, but to restore harmony and justice through understanding and truth.

In ADF practice, Forseti is honored as a god of justice tempered with mercy, as a patron of judges, arbitrators, and all who work to resolve disputes. He is invoked in situations of conflict, before important meetings or negotiations, and by those seeking justice not merely as punishment but as restoration and peace. Offerings include just decisions made in the service of community, truthful speech, and efforts to bring peace and reconciliation to conflicts.
